Hello hello my dancey friends!
My mom has always been my number one fan, (obviously) and she is also very honest and direct with the music I create. She always says to me “when are you going to write a happy upbeat song?” and yes mom, I should do more of those. I however find it difficult to write a happy upbeat song that doesn’t sound artificial. I have always been drawn to the slower tempo, sad stuff, like Nancy Sinatra’s “Bang Bang”, Patsy Cline’s “Crazy”, Madonna’s “Oh Father”. For some reason I am more inspired to write from a dark place. So my own original music is more that direction (as you will hear with the upcoming album). However to appease my amazing mom, I have decided to take part in some side project collaborations with electronica artists -fun and upbeat music -woo!
