My thought process for the day…
There are days when I feel my world is crumbling upon me. There can be such a bitter taste that swells within the senses. Not many people are aware of the self doubt, and rejection artists face. And for a moment, the weight of it all seemed unbearable. Then I got on stage at a non traditional venue to perform a set. The audience applauded, but conversation filled the room. At first the disappointment stung my heart as I felt myself blend into the walls. Then without even realizing it, I slipped into my own little world, and became the music. And now it hits me upon reflection. I love music. I love it for all of the right reasons, nothing has changed. From the girl singing alone in her bedroom with an old, weathered guitar, to the present. I love creating and performing. I love it all. Music is, has always been, and will always remain, my life.
These are just my feelings spilling out on to a page. What can I say, I’m an artist 😉 so many feeeeelinnngggggsss!
