Friday came and went.
5:00pm I felt an enormous release, followed by a flood of emptiness. For the past four months I have been working myself to the ground juggling a day job, health issues, and The Peak Performance Project. It has been the most incredible, life changing experience of my life, and I am beyond grateful for it. I entered the project with no more than two songs of my new style, no brand, and basically a brand new, “starting from scratch” career in music. I was blown away by being accepted with my first submission. My understanding was that it would take a couple times applying before being chosen in to the project, so you can understand my excitement and shock when I got in on my first submission. Right away I had to get a band together, write a bunch of new tunes, and hunker down on my new image and brand, make a promo video, etc. there were many challenges that we had to complete, and it was all very exciting. Basically, I was thrown right in to the hot spot, and had to get my stuff together ASAP! A fun and crazy challenge. So now that it’s over (unless I place in the top 3 – CORRECTION- WHEN I place in the top three) I’m just in a bit of a daze. After three all nighters in one week, working to finish my final reports, I made it. HOORRAAAY! At the moment I am still slightly delusional and delirious (haha) so this post may be a bit all over the map, but I think you know what I’m saying.
To everyone who has helped me throughout the past four months, as well as Music BC, 102.7 The PEAK, all the amazing staff whom I love to bits, and of course, “Uncle Jimmy” as they call him, I am eternally grateful! That is ETERNAL people! For life. You rock. All of my socks. #youmakemefeellikeI’mtheonlygirlintheworld (Rihanna.. yessss….)
It’s back to work for me (the day job) and my evenings will consist of catching some z’s. Oh crap… Halloween is upon us… okay, well, I guess I’ll sleep when I’m in Heaven. Hallelujah. PEACE OUT HOMIES!
So much love to all you cool cats.
