The Wedding Singer. One of the best films, I’m a big fan of Adam Sandler… haha.
This past weekend I had at the extreme pleasure of singing at one of my best friends from high schools, wedding. I absolutely love these love birds, they are the epitome of “meant for one another”. Not only was the event special for that reason, but also because I got to play it with my guy, who is an extremely talented musician. We played “Lovers in a Dangerous Time” and “Trapeze Swinger” for the ceremony. As she glided down the isle with such beauty and grace, her elegance and loving gaze upon her husband, I was overcome with emotion. Then I looked at the groom. The love that man had in his eyes was pouring out of every part of his being. It was as if he was doing everything in his power to hold himself back from running to her. The room was blanketed in a rare purity. Their gaze was interlocked with pure, honest joy, and respect, excitement, confidence and extraordinary love. I’m getting carried away here, but I was entranced by the beauty of it all.
We continued to play more throughout the evening, finishing with the song for their first dance as husband and wife. Did I mention the food!?!? Holy monkeys. This food was Crazy good! We danced the night away to all of the classics, and I busted out all of my best dance moves. By the way. I’ve got moves. How might you put my style into words? … Hmm, let me paint a picture for you: imagine you’re grandma drank 10 energy drinks in a row and hit the dance floor, sprinkled with a little “footloose” style moves, that’s pretty much it. And let me tell you, it’s pretty epic. EPIC! Speaking of epic, I had an amazing time. I LOVE playing weddings. So friends, keep on getting married, and ask your pal here to play at it for you 🙂
MUCH LOVE TO ALL YOU LOVE BIRDS! .. and the cynics. Hey, we’ve all been there -there’s hope!
Sincerely,
Jodi
